How it works
- STEP 1
Send photographs
Snap the mattress removal at your Durham address and send it on WhatsApp. Photographs are the single biggest factor in quote accuracy — the more you send, the tighter the fixed price.
- STEP 2
Receive a fixed price
We assess volume, weight and access, then confirm a written figure covering the agreed labour, transport and disposal requirements for your collection in Durham. Any change in scope is discussed before work continues.
- STEP 3
Choose your slot
Same-day, next-day, weekend and evening windows are offered subject to vehicle availability. You get a confirmed window rather than an all-day wait.
- STEP 4
We load and clear
The crew arrives with the correct vehicle, loads everything by hand, and sweeps up. The collected mattress removal from Durham is weighed and documented at a licensed facility afterwards.
What affects the price
Mattress Removal starts from £95. Your fixed price is confirmed once we have seen photographs.
- Location — travel beyond the included mileage is charged at the vehicle rate
- Volume — how much of the van the load actually fills
- Weight — dense material such as rubble, soil and concrete costs more at the gate
- Waste type — recycling routes are cheaper than general disposal
- Access — stairs, long carries and restricted parking add labour time
- Timing — weekend, evening and emergency slots carry an uplift
Collecting in Durham
Durham sits in County Durham, within North East England. We collect from Durham City Centre, Framwellgate Moor, Newton Hall, Gilesgate, Neville's Cross and Shincliffe and the surrounding streets. Collections are planned around access, parking and permit restrictions before the vehicle is dispatched.
What we do and do not take
Mattress and bed collection. Heavily soiled or infested mattresses must be declared in advance so we can bag them correctly.
All waste is collected by registered waste carriers and taken to licensed facilities. Waste transfer documentation is provided where applicable.
Mattress Removal FAQs
How much is mattress removal?
Per-item pricing starts from £95 for a Durham collection, with each additional mattress charged at a reduced rate on the same visit.
Are mattresses recycled?
Where a recycling facility is within reach, mattresses are stripped for springs, foam and textiles rather than landfilled.
Do I need to be there?
Not always. If the mattress removal is accessible from outside at the Durham property, we can collect with photographs, written instructions and payment agreed in advance.
Is this cheaper than hiring a skip in Durham?
Frequently. There is no permit to buy, no driveway lost for a week, and you only pay for the space the waste actually occupies. For small and medium mattress removal loads in Durham, a wait-and-load collection usually wins on both price and speed.
Are you a licensed waste carrier?
Yes. Every Durham collection is carried out by a registered waste carrier and taken to a licensed facility. Waste transfer documentation is issued where duty of care applies.
Can you collect the same day in Durham?
Often, yes. Same-day mattress removal in Durham depends on vehicle availability at the time you call. If we cannot reach you today we will say so rather than take the booking and let you down.
How much does mattress removal cost in Durham?
Mattress Removal in Durham starts from £95. The final figure depends on volume, weight and access. Send photographs on WhatsApp and we confirm a fixed price rather than an hourly guess.
