How it works
- STEP 1
Send photographs
Snap the loft clearance at your Alness address and send it on WhatsApp. Photographs are the single biggest factor in quote accuracy — the more you send, the tighter the fixed price.
- STEP 2
Receive a fixed price
We assess volume, weight and access, then confirm a written figure covering the agreed labour, transport and disposal requirements for your collection in Alness. Any change in scope is discussed before work continues.
- STEP 3
Choose your slot
Same-day, next-day, weekend and evening windows are offered subject to vehicle availability. You get a confirmed window rather than an all-day wait.
- STEP 4
We load and clear
The crew arrives with the correct vehicle, loads everything by hand, and sweeps up. The collected loft clearance from Alness is weighed and documented at a licensed facility afterwards.
What affects the price
Loft Clearance starts from £140. Your fixed price is confirmed once we have seen photographs.
- Volume — how much of the van the load actually fills
- Weight — dense material such as rubble, soil and concrete costs more at the gate
- Waste type — recycling routes are cheaper than general disposal
- Access — stairs, long carries and restricted parking add labour time
- Timing — weekend, evening and emergency slots carry an uplift
- Location — travel beyond the included mileage is charged at the vehicle rate
What we do and do not take
Access must be safe and boarded or ladder-reachable. We do not work in unboarded lofts without a safe standing surface.
All waste is collected by registered waste carriers and taken to licensed facilities. Waste transfer documentation is provided where applicable.
Loft Clearance FAQs
Will you go into the loft?
Yes, where access is safe and there is a boarded floor or ladder at your Alness property. Otherwise we clear from the hatch as items are passed down.
Can you clear old insulation?
Modern mineral wool, yes. Anything you suspect contains asbestos must be surveyed by a licensed specialist first.
What happens to the waste after collection?
It goes to a licensed transfer station where it is separated. Recoverable material from Alness collections is recycled, and only the residual fraction goes to final disposal.
Do I need to be there?
Not always. If the loft clearance is accessible from outside at the Alness property, we can collect with photographs, written instructions and payment agreed in advance.
Is this cheaper than hiring a skip in Alness?
Frequently. There is no permit to buy, no driveway lost for a week, and you only pay for the space the waste actually occupies. For small and medium loft clearance loads in Alness, a wait-and-load collection usually wins on both price and speed.
Are you a licensed waste carrier?
Yes. Every Alness collection is carried out by a registered waste carrier and taken to a licensed facility. Waste transfer documentation is issued where duty of care applies.
Can you collect the same day in Alness?
Often, yes. Same-day loft clearance in Alness depends on vehicle availability at the time you call. If we cannot reach you today we will say so rather than take the booking and let you down.

Moving as well as clearing in Alness?
Clearances often sit either side of a move. If you need the furniture that is staying taken to a new address in Alness, that is a removals job rather than a waste job — and it is priced separately.
