Is there a maximum distance for a man and van?

No fixed maximum within mainland UK. Journeys of 300 to 500 miles are routine and are priced per mile in the same way as a local job. Beyond that, drivers' legal hours mean the run may be planned across two days or handled by a driver positioned nearer the collection point.

Will a man and van travel long distance for one item?

Yes — a single sofa from Devon to Aberdeen is a normal booking. If the dates are flexible, it may travel as part of a driver's return leg, which reduces the price considerably.

Do you cover Scotland and Wales?

Yes, including the Highlands, Argyll, Fife, the Borders, mid and west Wales, and Anglesey. Remote postcodes are quoted individually because the return leg has to be accounted for.

Do you deliver to Northern Ireland?

Yes. Northern Ireland is a road-and-ferry job: the same driver and van cross with your item and the crossing cost is included in the quoted price. It is normally a next-day or following-day service rather than same-day.

Can a man and van do a same-day long-distance run?
